God make me a gently flowing river,
Moving in the direction that you desire,
Changing subtly the things and circumstances as you wish,
Every good thing is from you and it is my quest to share it,
All the gifts of this world are meant as a blessing to share and not hold on to.
Creating a life and legacy,
Like a mighty flowing river that starts as a tiny stream,
My life is meant to flow in a positive direction
Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly,
But always carving a better path,
Leaving the world better as I go,
Make me a gently flowing river and not a reservoir.
A reservoir is a place of holding but a river changes the landscape as it moves. And so it is.
