We are launching a new website and I am supposed to write an introduction about our beach office and there is just so much I want to say but I just don’t know HOW in the WORLD I can even say it.
After losing all of our properties in the “What goes up must come down time” I started doing Real Estate with a little company that a sweet friend was running out of his home. The name was catchy Beachy Beach and that sure sounded like it fit me. Never did I know what in the world was to come. I discovered that I loved marketing and using the Beach Show (online Real Estate show) and blogging and connecting, I was having so much fun. I was kind of making it up as I went along!!!
Just a little of our background and how and why I cry most of the time that I look at our new 8,000 square foot plus gorgeous building!!!! When I started selling Real Estate with Beachy Beach owned by Gabe I knew very little of what I was doing other than loving people sharing with people and working really really hard and really really long!!!!
After a while people started calling me, Hey there is Beachy Beach and I said uh oh!!! I have accidentally branded myself as Beachy Beach so I better buy it and run with it. Still having little clue of what I was doing other than loving people, sharing with people and working really really hard and really really long, I bought the company and it took me 5 years to pay for it since as I said we had no money at the time. When I realized we were writing the last check I just sobbed and realized what was happening before me and around me.
Before I knew it there was one and there were two then three then 100!! We started out in my bedroom with myself and an assistant Bridgett and one agent Lisa Ward. We then moved into a new 900 square foot space, ONE DAY BEFORE THE BIG OIL SPILL!!!! My neighbor was Roy Eure and to this day a precious friend and one of those I need to get even with in my brand of getting even. We outgrew that quickly because people kept showing up. I am learning as I go and they are learning and loving with me.
Our motto quickly becomes, “The only people we have to get even with are those that have helped us.” Every decision and each person at the company follows this and it has made for the most lovable and the most life giving company for me. Our purpose is to serve God, our community and each other and also be the most dedicated to loving our customers. Money is not at the top because the thing that drives us is our love and our heart and when that is first the money that is needed follows. What follows that is the ability to serve and love others in our community through acts of service and giving.
What in the world is the phrase that goes through my head on a regular basis. There is no logical reason for the success and the joy that we have been given in this business. We have been blessed beyond all reason and we continue to be in awe of the love from our community and the support and the gifts that we encounter on a daily basis.
I still don’t know what I want to write about our sweet office for our website but wanted to give you a little insight WHYI am so blown away at what has happened to us. It is the US all the way. The people at our company are the most loving and compassionate group of people and I can not thank them enough for trusting me as their leader.
What started as this small spark and this small space has turned into a large beautiful space with more room to love and grow and to serve others. Thanks so much for my wonderful Broker Scott Bowman and my daughter Britt for being our voice and our hearts to the east and the west.
How in the world? How did this girl get here? With lots of talent and heart from precious people who followed me ….. before I knew where I was going and what I was doing. By the grace of God we have been able to go further and longer than ever we could imagine. So if you are one of the many people I need to get even with, I thank you as I thank God for all of this grace that has helped this business grow.
Ps. there are so many precious ones that make this place fly and I will thank them in follow ups.
pps. My husband asked me to save him a spot but I think he deserves the whole building so it is in honor of him.
pps. Wait till he sees the work of art 12 feet by 4 feet in his honor!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Roy and Christon

I can’t wait to see this building. (I may need a private tour as I don’t do big crowds)
Karen, this is so beautiful! I’ve been watching from an ocean away. People have watched you in the afternoon/your mornings and all agree – you are a blessing. I can’t wait to see it in person!
