Girls and I guess some of you fellows too, I am working on things bigger than me and sometimes these mean voices tell me I. can not!!! Of course I tell them to shut the heck up and get out of my head but….. I have always been positive even in situations that tell me that is not the appropriate response. If you know me or have read any of my stuff, you know what I think about being REALISTIC!!!! My expectations of life and what it brings to me and what I can bring to it are lofty but I am willing to put in the lofty work and for me depend and trust in a LOFTY God!!!!
I love to listen to Pod cast and read great literature and fill my heart and head with all the things that say I CAN, YOU CAN, YOU WILL!!!!! I was feeling a little trepidation one day about writing my book and those pesky voices were saying, “Who do you think you are? Who in the world do you think will read your book? You are 60 for pity’s sake!! Have you lost your mind? Time for you to slow your roll!!!”
AND I HEARD THIS, It is a bible verse of course paraphrased and from Philippians 1:6, ‘HE WHO HAS BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN ME WILL SEE IT THROUGH TO COMPLETION.” Since I was reminded of that I have recited it and held it in my heart and in my head and when a voice that I know is not true I holler back at it with this verse. It is written on folders at my office, it is written in my affirmation journal, It is written on my bathroom mirror but more important it is INFUSED in my heart.
What is it you want to do? What is it that you have not yet done on this trip around the earth? Do it, Ask God to fill you with a spirit of enthusiasm and joy of it. I promise it works. Being more of who you were meant to be is a fun way to live!!! I also know that if I am going to accomplish what I was put here to do I have to hang with those that feel that way too!!!
This makes me think of the song by Casting Crowns. “But the voice of truth tells me a different story…” Keep doing your beautiful work! ________________________________
Katrina!!!! I promise I will eventually figure this whole blog thing out!!! I thought I had commented and I guess it did not reach you. I always want to be so grateful for those of you who share in this journey of love and life with me. I do not take it for granted. I hope your day and weekend is abundant and grand.
