Dear Happy Asses,
You know there are some words you don’t think you will ever mutter like say….. “Advice from Two Chain.”
To be honest I am really not that familiar with him other than to know he is somewhat of a success and I think he is a singer of some sort!!! That is the extent of my knowledge but today he said one simple but profound sentence and I have adopted it as one of my new soundtracks and maybe you will too!!!
“God Took His Time with Me.”
I LOVE THAT PHRASE AND I HAVE NOW ADOPTED IT AS A NEW SOUNDTRACK TO LIVE BY.
The good news is that I think we can all use that one because I think He did take His time in creating every single one of us!!! I think we forget that we are amazingly wonderful, creatively divine humans. I think we are moving too fast!!!

Ha Ha, I left the wrong spelling on the title because it shows just how much I know… or knew as it were… as I googled him. His name is actually spelled 2 Chainz and he is a Grammy winning writer and hip hopper (yes I meant to write hip hopper) but I bet you already knew that.
It is funny who you can learn something from, how God can send you a quiet nudge from the most unlikely places. If we are listening I think we may hear it and if we are looking I bet we can see it.
But seriously… from 2 Chainz, formerly known by me as Two Chain!!!
So from that one sentence I started journaling this morning and asking myself questions to help me remember who I am and what am I here for REALLY!!!
If God took His time in creating me, what am I doing with that creation?
Am I using it for good?
Am I getting wrapped up in and tied up with things that are of little value?
Am I sitting in the quiet long enough to hear the voice and the spirit of God?
Whew… God took His time with me!!! And with you!!
2 Chainz amplified his message when he added:
LET ME MULTIPLY HIS EFFORTS.
Yes, I want to multiply God’s efforts and just like a dutiful child I want Him to be proud of me and what I am doing to love His kids and honor others.
Sometimes I have to stand still long enough for His voice to catch up with my heart.
Keeping pace with the spirit of God is my quest, but oh how I jump ahead!!! I am praying that I will hold tight to this affirmation, prayerformation and declaration.
God sure took His time with me… so yes let me multiply His efforts!!!
